Team Introduction: Meet Swansea City
Club name: Swansea City Association Football Club
Founded: 1912
Stadium: Liberty Stadium
Club chairman: Huw Jenkins
Manager: Brendan Rodgers
Rival: Cardiff City
This is the first time for Swansea City to play in the Premier League and the first Welsh Club to play in the division, although they played in the old Football League Division One back in 1981 to 1983. The club finished 3rd in the Championship, but earn their promotion after winning the play-off. They beat Reading 4-2 in the final game of the play-off.
Top scorer of the team is Scott Sinclair, who is Not the Captain of the team, unlike Norwich and QPR. Sinclair scored 24 goals for the club last season. Swansea captain, Garry Monk is a defender, wearing No. 16. So far Swansea has only made a few new signings in order to improve their squad, Watford striker Danny Graham has joined them, and Spurs defender Steven Caulker have also joined the team on a loan deal.
It will be interesting to see how this Welsh team cope with the Premier League, they will make history if they managed to stay after a season, despite many analyses believe they are the weakest team among three promoted teams.
