King of South America: Uruguay

Paraguay’s magic stopped working in the COPA America’s Final, because nothing can stop the real king from reaching the top. Congratulations to this amazing Uruguay team, who lifted the COPA trophy for the 15th time this time, one time more than the host Argentina. This South America team, after so many years, has finally risen again.

When we think may be, we will see Peru in Final because of the recent trend in COPA 2011, Luis Suarez said, nah, no more surprises! Suarez brings Uruguay into the Final by scoring two goals himself. Peru had some close chances but Muslera’s continued to perform well. At 68 minutes, Peru’s Risco received a red card when he elbowed Coates, but scoreline didn’t change afterward. Uruguay to the Final and will face the winner of Venezuela-Paraguay match. What do you say? Uruguay vs Venezuela? or an all ‘guay’ Final?

After two draws, Argentina finally manage to tango on the pitch. Credits to Batista’s changes in lineup, the Argentina coach dropped Banega, Cambiasso, Lavezzi and  Tevez, for Gago, Di Maria, Aguero and Higuain. Although we did not manage to catch the match, due to different time zone (an excuse for not being able to wake up early =P), we did catch up on the game by watching the highlight.
