We are not going to get into detail here, but will highlight a few things that we think you will be interested.
The draw happened in Brazil and as you can imagine, a lot of Brazilian players were invited to take part in the draw. So who did we see last night? We saw Pele, Ronaldo, Cafu, Neymar, Lucas Piazon and more.
- The intercontinental play-offs will be Asia vs South America; and Concacaf vs Oceania. Hmm..What do you think? Will it be tougher for Asian countries or Oceania, mostly likely New Zealand will be the Oceania team? We may probably see something like China vs South American team?
- In the 5 Asian groups, the top two of each group will then get into Last 10 and form two groups with 5 teams each. Detail of Asian groups is here. Well, Group C consisting Japan, Uzbekistan, Syria and North Korea looks pretty challenging to us. Australia’s Group D doesn’t look easy either. China seems to get the easiest group among Pot 1 teams.
- Not sure it is bad news for Spain or bad news for France as they were both drew into Group I of UEFA continent. Spain got the strongest team in Pot 2 and France got our World Champion. Group I consisting Spain, France, Belarus, Georgia and Finland, other teams do not look too challenging for Spain or France but ONLY the winner of the group can qualify automatically.
- We think Group D: Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia and Andorra looks deadly. Or is it Group F? With Portugal, Russia, Israel, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg? Which is your group of death?
Detail of UEFA draw can be find here; Africa here, Oceania and Concacaf.
So tomorrow will be the 1st of August and aren’t you excited about it? As the new season is getting closer and closer. We will be introducing new teams in the coming weeks and more news and facts on Premier League as well as La Liga. Oh, and we have something new for you tomorrow. Stay tune!
