Match to Catch: Kitchee vs Chelsea
Image via Facebook page
There are three Premier League teams in Hong Kong at the moment, Aston Villa, Blackburn and of course, Chelsea. They are there for the Barclays Asia Trophy, and it begins tonight. Blackburn will play Aston Villa; and our Hong Kong club Kitchee, will take on Chelsea. The tournament will be broadcasting live in more than 29 countries, including Malaysia. Winners of both games will play each other on the 30th July, the other two teams will fight for third place on the same day.
Meanwhile, everyone is still waiting for Torres to end his goal drought. Torres recently has told reporter that he didn't forget how to score. The Spaniard who signed for Chelsea in January had only managed to net one goal for Chelsea so far (not included the friendly previously). With all due respect but there are really not many ways for a striker to prove himself, especially someone with 50 million price tag. Maybe his countryman, Kitchee forward Roberto Losada can teach Torres some tricks. The Hong Kong Footballer of the year scored 7 goals for Kitchee last season.
Players to look out for: Lo Kwan Yee, midfielder, captain of the team (picture above); Roberto Losada, forward, Hong Kong Footballer of the year.
