1. Cesc Fabregas
I can’t think of any reason not to put him first, despite we were kind of bored about his transfer news since last summer, his departure is still a lot of people’s concern. So far he played four games for Barcelona, won two super cups, scored three goals, what can we say? Have fun in Barca, Cesc.
2. Samir Nasri
Great signing for Man City. We are not gonna judge him, whether he is Nasri, or Na$ri. But we do have an opinion on players openly talk negative things about their former club, Arsenal fans not passionate enough? Really? Well, can’t admit this is a great loss for Arsenal though. And, be careful what you wish for, Samir.
3. David de Gea
Replacing a big name is stressful, we completely understand, David. And, wearing the number 1 for a big club like Man Utd, don’t be surprised about how many people want to see him fails. His performances been a bit clumsy lately, and received loads of criticisms, but a good player will get over it. You will shine, David!
4. Sergio Aguero
Another big name arrived from La Liga, Aguero’s capability is unquestionable. He scored two goals in his debut for Man City, and performance been impressive since. Together with Nasri, an on fire Dzeko, plus Silva, Tevez, they made a dangerous City side. Watch out, Man Utd!
5. Samuel Eto'o
We are safe to say that this is a shocking move to a lot of people? Eto’o joined Russian side, Anzhi Makhachkala last month, and becomes the world’s highest pay player. He has played one game for the team so far, and scored one goal. So at least his performance is worthy of his price, right Torres?
6. Scott Parker
This is something that has to be done. Lots of Hammers’ fans slammed him for going to Tottenham, but we understand the difficulties in this decision. He will be 31 this year; finally earned a regular place in national team last season, and Euro 2012 coming up. Didn’t really leave much choices for him. All the best, Scotty!
7. Owen Hargreaves
When we first saw the rumor, we didn’t even bother given it a second thought. Because, firstly, We don’t think Man City really need him. Secondly, if Hargreaves is thinking straightly, he wouldn’t go there. Out of all teams, City is the last on our mind that Hargreaves will end up with. And guess what? He joined them.
8. Juan Mata
A good addition to Chelsea squad. He was strongly linked with Arsenal but ended up with Chelsea, probably thanks to Torres, as some papers suggested that Torres tried very hard to convince Villas-Boas to sign him. He could be a great help to the Spanish striker if he finally starts performing. Good Luck, Mata!
9. Mikel Arteta
He was the name that got Arsenal fans all excited at the end of transfer window. And, Yes! He is a Gunner now. Even Wilshere was so excited about the news, and begging for updates on Twitter. Arteta became the last signing of Arsenal in the Transfer Deadline day, he is also the 4th signing of the day. Well done, Wenger!
10. Raul Meireles
The real shock of the day, is this one, Raul Meireles to Chelsea. Liverpool announced his submission of transfer request only 30 minutes before the window closed, and things happened really fast since. We were guessing the talk should had been going on all day, and in the end, Liverpool cannot keep him.
Other Transfers:
Peter Crouch, Wilson Palacios to Stoke City
Anton Ferdinand, Shaun Wright-Phillips to QPR
Craig Bellamy back to Liverpool
David Ngog to Bolton
Per Mertesacker, Andre Santos, and Yossi Benayoun (loan) to Arsenal
David Bentley (loan), Henri Lansbury (loan) to West Ham
Jermaine Jenas (loan) to Aston Villa
Joe Cole (loan) to Lille
Nicklas Bendtner (loan) to Sunderland

The transfer day was fun and very unproductive for us, because we are busy keeping up with the news and completely abandoned the assignments.
Oh, btw, at one point, Kaka to Spurs was actually trending on Twitter, Ribery to Chelsea and Honda to Arsenal as well..Next time we should make Messi to Real Madrid trending!!

I think it was kinda ungreatful of Nasri for commenting about Arsenal's fans. sounds like a sour ex girlfriend haha
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't like players doing that, what can you get from saying something bad about your former club? You new club won't be impressed.
