Surely, people who watch La Liga are familiar with Real Betis. They played in the Spanish highest league most of the time, but got relegated twice, once during 2000 and once at 2009. First time, they managed to come back to La Liga at first attempt during 2000 and this time, it took them two seasons to come back. They finished first in Segunda División last season.

The team had sold one of their top scorers Achille Emanas to Al Hilal, so now the goal scoring weight is on Jonathan Pereira, Betis is still hoping to sign another striker before season starts, but as funds are limited, Pepe Mel was told by administrators that he needs to sell before he buys. Betis’ Captain Iriney is the only Brazilian in the team, who plays in the midfield. Another player you may want to look out for will be Ustaritz, who is a defender on loan from Athletic Bilbao.

Real Betis will play Granada (another club promoted from Segunda División) in the coming Saturday, but the game is in doubt as Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) still failed to reach an agreement with the Spanish League (LFP). However, as Real Betis has never been far away from La Liga, we think they have a better chance to stay in the league compare to the other two teams. What do you think?
