Many things happen in football during weekends, so we decided to have this new ‘Weekend Sum-up’, to summarize things for our readers. Okay, here we go:

In EPL …

Chelsea sacked AVB is no doubt the biggest news this weekend. Right after their defeat against West Brom on Saturday, Chelsea announced that Andre Villas-Boas is no longer Chelsea manger. Assistant coach Di Matteo is appointed as the caretaker manager while the club search for new manager. Mourinho, Benitez, Guadiola and Capello are all on the lists of Chelsea possible new manager, who do you think will be the guy?
There were also two ‘big games’ played during the weekend: Liverpool vs Arsenal and Tottenham vs Manchester United. As usual, van Persie stunned the world by scoring two amazing goals that put Arsenal in front. Koscielny should thank their captain who saved him from taking the blame as Arsenal was a goal down after Koscielny scored the own goal. He should also thank Szczesny for performed incredibly in front of  goal, saved a penalty which could have taken away Arsenal’s 3 points.Van Persie has now scored 25 goals for Arsenal this season, way ahead of Rooney who scored 18 goals.

Without Parker, Bale and Van der Vaart, Tottenham finds it hard to get a victory at home against the Red Devils. With Ashley Young scored two goals, United has an easy victory on Sunday. United is still chasing Man City closely with just two points away.

In Hong Kong league …

There were quite a number of surprises in the local league as well. Sun Hei, Pegasus and SCAA all failed to claim their victory in their latest game. Pegasus played Hong Kong Sapling on Friday. Although being the last on the table, HK Sapling managed to put up a fight and took the lead until 70th minute when Carrijo scored the equalizer to save a point for Pegasus.

Sun Hei played Tuen Mun at home on Sunday while SCAA took on Sham Shui Po at home on the same day. Tuen Mun displayed good team work and even being the underdog, able to score two goals in less than 50 minutes. Sun Hei tried quite hard yet only managed to score a goal at 75th minute, to make it easier for the fans to accept the defeat. As several players at the back were injured, Sun Hei could only hope that they could recover very soon and bring the team back to their winning track.

SCAA too, after their draw with Sham Shui Po on Sunday, they have to win as many games as they could for the remaining season and hope Kitchee and Pegasus to lose a few games if they were to reclaim the title.
