Weekend Sum-up: League Cup Semi-finals and more…

25(1)

Another eventful weekend, so let’s cut the crap and start talking about it!

In Hong Kong League…

League cup semi-finals were played during the weekend, which Kitchee took on rival SCAA on Saturday and TSW Pegasus  played against Citizen on Sunday.

Although Kitchee had AFC Cup game on Wednesday, unlike Citizen, their players did not display tiredness. Instead, Kitchee managed to play for 120 minutes and turned the 1-1 scoreline into 4-1 when referee blew the final whistle.

On the other hand, Citizen failed to stop Pegasus. Citizen’s players didn’t seem to have fully recovered from the Wednesday game yet, and lost four goals against Pegasus. The game ended with a 4-1 scoreline. Pegasus player Jaimes Mckee, after scored a hat-trick in quarter-final, scored two goals yesterday. He is now leading the top scorer table, followed by Jorge and Roberto from Kitchee, both with two goals.
Kitchee will play Pegasus in the League Cup final on 15th April.

In EPL…

Some surprises in the weekend results. Chelsea managed to win against Stoke after sacking AVB, does it means the club made a right decision? On the other hand, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City both lost, and as Man Utd managed to get a two goals victory against West Brom last night, they are now ahead of City, becomes the first on Premier League table.

Arsenal will play Newcastle today, and Arteta will be ready to play.

In La Liga…

After scored 5 goals in the Champions League, Messi continued his goal feast and scored both goals that brought Barcelona victory on Sunday. However, the team is still 10 points away from Real Madrid, which grabbed another victory on Saturday against Betis.
