Turkey, Portugal: On Their Way OUT of Euro 2012?

Well, this isn’t what we were expecting. Most people think Turkey has the upper hand, not only because they are taking on Croatia at home. Also because they have a coach who can do magic, or maybe creating miracles is the right words. None expected a 0-3 result that you can’t even look at.

Turkey’s performance was no where close to good last night, and coach Hiddink took full responsibility for the defeat. What happened to Hiddink and his magic? He used to be the guy who not only bring his teams into World Cup and Euro, but made history with them. Hiddink’s magic seems to disappear in Russia, after not being able to get them into World Cup finals.

3 away goals make it unlikely, actually, impossible for Turkey to qualify for the tournament, unless Hiddink got back his wand and do some magic next week.

Portugal didn’t do any better yesterday. We know it wasn’t going to be an easy game for Portugal but thought Ronaldo or Dzeko could have sneak in some goals to keep us entertained. The game ended with 0-0 scoreline, so next week’s game will decide who gets into the tournament. I say equal chance for both teams, though Portugal has home stadium advantage but away goal rule is on Bosnia-Herzegovina side.
So, which 4 teams do you think will qualify?
