Sepp Blatter Emphasizes Zero Tolerant in Racism

Sepp Blatter, Racism

FIFA president Sepp Blatter was in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to attend AFC Annual Award ceremony, and we are delighted to be able to attend this press conference.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter attended the press conference along with AFC acting president Zhang Jilong and FIFA Vice President Prince Ali al Hussein. When he was asked question about QPR manager Neil Warnock urges all black players for FIFA match boycott, he responded as such: “This item for me is ‘closed’. I have made my apology. I cannot say more. This matter for me is over.” But he added, “There is zero tolerant (for) racism. Zero tolerant (for) discrimination. Zero tolerant (for) all (racism) activities in the field of the play and outside of the field.”

When asked about the huge responses from the English press regarding his comment, Sepp Blatter said he was not surprised but was “hurt by the comments as it touched me in my conscience and my determination to go against racism.”

Sepp Blatter The FIFA president had made a few comments about Asian football as well. He believes the future of football is in Asia as Asia has had an amazing year in football and has players with good potentials. He also said that although football is a team game, among the ladies of Japan national team, Homare Sawa impressed him the most.

He also added that, he believes the future of football is “feminine” not just because of the growing number of female players in the game, but the growing number of female participants in all areas of the game. So girls, we are all important to the beautiful game and we are the future of the game.

Another blog post on the Annual Award Ceremony will be up soon. We will tell you what happened inside the ballroom!
