COPA 2011Argentina 1-1 Uruguay*We thought we have seen the light for Argentina to go further after the game against Costa Rica, but looks like their magic didn’t last as long as Harry Potter’s. Uruguay scored an early goal and Argentina found their equalizer soon after. The game went on without any actually changes in the scoreline, but two disallowed goals. It was pretty rough, two players being sent off, one from each team, 11 yellow cards all together, probably because both teams were desperated to grab this victory. We can tell it was an intense and exciting game (no, didn’t manage to watch it, Colombia’s boring first half sent us right to the bed), Uruguay is doing well since World Cup. Without any further goals, the game went into the deadly penalty shootout. Tevez penalty saved, and Uruguay scored all five. Our Messiah, didn’t manage to save the team. Uruguay will then play Peru on Tuesday.

Colombia 0-2 PeruA boring first half and we don’t know what happened after that. We were expecting more from Colombia, as they performed well in the group stage, but their performance was disappointing. Both team didn’t manage to find the back of the net during 90 minutes, Colombia missed a penalty and Peru scored two late goal at extra time. They will take on Uruguay in semifinal.

Tonight, Brazil will again take on Paraguay and Venezuela against Chile.

Women’s World Cup
Sweden 2-1 France
We have seen so many awesome games played by the ladies, and when the camera zoomed out, sometimes we think we are watching the men’s. Sweden scored the opening goal last night, and France managed to equalize with a terrific long shot outside the box. After Oqvist being sent off and Sweden was one girl down, we thought France could go on and win the game. But Sweden told us they were the better team, by scoring the winning goal.

Tonight, USA will play Japan in the Final, please DO NOT miss it!

Pre-Season Friendlies
Malaysia XI 3-6 Liverpool
Malaysia XI team is having a busy time, after Arsenal, yesterday they played against Liverpool. Their fans must be happy to see them came out and attacked, managed to score three goals against Premier League side, Liverpool. Charlie Adam scored his first goal for Liverpool. It was a penalty that was asked to be retaken, he scored both actually but counted once ;) Liverpool performance was impressive, with Suarez absence, they still manage to fire six goals.
Goal Scorer: (Liverpool) Adam, N’gog (2), M.Rodriguez (2), Kuyt.
(Malaysia) Rahim, Sali (2)

Hangzhou Greentown 1-1 ArsenalArsenal continues their Asia journey, played against China side, Greentown last night. The game ended with a disappointing draw, and Vela is the only person who found the back of the net in both games.
Goal Scorer: (Arsenal) Vela. (Greentown) Vazquez.

Portsmouth 0-1 ChelseaAll Chelsea strikers failed to score a goal in this game against Portsmouth. The only goal in the game was scored by T.B Haim, Portsmouth defender. Torres only managed to score two goals for the club after joining them for more than 6 months, one against West Ham and one in another friendly match earlier. Instead of finding solution elsewhere to help the Spanish striker, we think Chelsea should ask Snape for some magic potions.
Goal Scorer: T.B Haim (o.g)

World Football Challenge
