Premier League, La Liga and Hong Kong First Division are all moving toward the end of the season, ‘Who will win the title?’ becomes the main concern to all football fans. So, will it be Man United or Man City? Real Madrid or Barcelona? Kitchee or TSW Pegasus?

In EPL…

All eyes were on Arsenal vs Man City match last night and for that 90 minutes, many Man United fans had became a Gunner, because they need Arsenal to help them stop City, and Arsenal did not disappoint them.
After some wasted chances, a header that was deflected by own teammate, and chao in front of City goal but the goal post literally saved City, Arsenal finally scored their one and only goal in the game. A brilliant goal by Arteta. Although Ramsey failed to score the second goal for Arsenal, one goal was enough to earn them 3 points and shatters City’s title dream.

Now Man City is 8 points behind Man Utd, with 6 games left, City still stands a chance to win the league champion, however both teams do not have strong opponents in the remaining games. Therefore, Man Utd is looking good to win the title again. In order to challenge them, City will need to at least win most of the remaining games and pray for United to lose some points.

In La Liga…

Now we know 10 points distance doesn’t mean anything, let alone 4 points now. Real Madrid was leading Barcelona 10 points a month ago, but now the gap is closed down to 4 points, after Real Madrid had a draw with Valencia yesterday. El Clasico will play on 22nd April, if Barcelona managed to win it, as they usually do, the gap will be closed down to 1 point, and we all know what that means. It means Real Madrid may lose the La Liga in just a blink. The result of El Clasico will be critical to the title fight, and I say the winner of El Clasico will be the winner of La Liga as well.

In Hong Kong League…

Tuen Mun played a big role in affecting the title run lately, after drawing TSW Pegasus last week, this week they took two points away from SCAA. Now SCAA is 6 points behind Pegasus who is leading the table at the moment, chances for SCAA to win the title is very slim as there are only three matches left. Kitchee is now two points behind Pegasus, but their remaining three games are all home games, which may give them some kind of advantages. On the other hand, Pegasus’ biggest challenge will be the game against Tai Po on 5th May, as the team never beat Tai Po before. We may need to wait until the last game to know who is the winner of the league.

Hong Kong Sapling and Sham Shui Po are both confirmed for relegation.
