Citizen vs SCAA: Some Shocking Moments

Citizen, SCAA, Hong Kong
It wasn’t a quiet night at the Mong Kok stadium on Friday. Citizen was there to take on South China, and the match ended with a lot of noises.

Carreiro scored at the 3rd minute for Citizen to give them an early lead. Citizen kept pressing throughout first half which gave them plenty of chances. At 32 minute, SCAA Yeo Jeehoon was sent off after receiving his second yellow. Later, Yuto Nakamura managed to scored another goal before the end of the first half. Giving Citizen a two goals lead into half time and SCAA was a man down. It all looked like Citizen had the upper hand, but things started to get complicated when 2nd half began.

Citizen came out from the changing room playing like a different team, given South China a chance to equalize. SCAA scored two goals in less than 10 minutes, one by Au Yeung Yiu Chung at 58 min and one by Chan Siu Ki at 66 min. Let’s not forget they were one man down. Later, Citizen started to find their pace back and managed to create some chances. At 85 min, Sham Kwok Keung scored the 3rd goal for Citizen Citizen, SCAA, Hong Kongand everyone thought that should be the winning goal. Yet, South China said, no!

The match ended with a 3-3 scoreline. Citizen captain Festus, aka the scorpion king, scored an own goal at the very last minute during additional time. Sham Kwok Keung received his second yellow near the end of second half and left Citizen with ten men. The red card had heated things up, some South China fans were obviously unhappy with Citizen players and shouted at the players near the bench area. One even hit the plastic plate at the sub area attempted to provoke Citizen players. Police released the man after they kept him custody for half an hour.

Glad no one was injured and hope football fans can keep their clam. There is  always a peaceful way to express your opinions. It was a competitive game which people will remember for a while. Let’s not ruin it with indecent behaviors!
